Remember the Action Button from the iPhone 15 Pro series? The programmable button can be used for several tasks, such as enabling/disabling a setting, putting the iPhone in silent mode, turning on the flashlight, etc. It is a pretty nifty addition to the iPhone 15 Pro lineup, allowing users to customize their overall experience. Well, turns out, a similar feature is now making its way to the Realme 12 5G, a mid-range headset that is about to release in India soon.
Realme 12 5G To Feature A Dynamic Button
On Monday, Realme revealed that its upcoming Realme 12 5G will come with a “Dynamic Button,” which will help access several custom actions. Teasing the feature, the company uploaded a picture that reveals the possible use cases of the button, which include opening the camera, turning on the flashlight, enabling/disabling airplane or sleep mode, starting a workout, and so on. The advertised use cases look similar to Apple’s Action Button, which we discussed initially.
What Could You Use The Dynamic Button For?
The customizable button is below the volume rockers on the handset’s right panel. However, whether this button doubles as the power button isn’t unknown. In our opinion, the Dynamic Button could be helpful, especially if it allows users to open particular apps. We can imagine how users would want to open their favorite UPI app with the press of a button instead of going through the app drawer on their Android phone. However, this remains a speculation at the moment.
Other Key Details Of Realme 12 5G
Other than this, the Realme 12 5G is said to come with a 108MP primary camera with 3x zoom capability. Other camera features include NightEye Engine and Cinematic Portrait Algorithm. Further, the microsite reveals the smartphone in a light purple color. On the back, the phone has a dual-camera setup in a circular cutout. The top panel houses what looks like a microphone, SIM tray, and an infrared sensor. On the front, users get symmetrical bezels on three sides.
The Realme 12 5G will arrive in India on March 6, 2024, alongside the Realme 12+ 5G. Pre-orders for both handsets are open now. Ahead of the official launch, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has opened the pre-order window for the smartphones.
