Qualcomm recently released a new addition to its series—the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, which will power several upper mid-range smartphones. The chipset turns out to be more powerful than last year’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and sits just a tier below the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. 

Nevertheless, the chip brings exciting performance and AI features, making it a compelling choice for many smartphone manufacturers. Curious about which smartphones will feature this new chipset? Let’s take a look.

Top Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 Phone That We Get To See in 2024

The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 has recently been released, and manufacturers have wasted no time in teasing their upcoming smartphones powered by this chipset. Here’s a list of the smartphones we know about so far:

1. Xiaomi CIVI 4 Pro

2. iQOO Z9 Turbo

3. Moto Edge 50 Pro

4. Redmi Note 13 Turbo / POCO F6

Now, let’s take a quick overview of each of these smartphones.

1. Xiaomi CIVI 4 Pro 

Civi 4 Pro

Starting with the most exciting of all, the Xiaomi CIVI 4 Pro is said to bring many of the flagship features of the more expensive Xiaomi 14 Ultra. Obviously, the smartphone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.

The phone will have a Leica-enhanced triple camera system on the rear and will be using a flat metal frame and a curved display. The phone will be 7.45 mm thin and weigh in at 180 grams.

The device has been confirmed to launch in China on March 21, 2024 wherein all the specifications of the device will be revealed. Xiaomi may or may not launch this device in India as there is no history of CIVI devices being launched except the rebranded Xiaomi A series which has been discontinued.

2. iQOO Z9 Turbo 

One smartphone that might launch in India is the iQOO Z9. The device will feature a 1.5K AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 144 Hz. The device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. It is expected to have a dual camera setup.

As per Digital Chat Station, the iQOO Z9 Turbo will feature a larger 6000 mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging. The device is expected to have the V2352A model number. As for the launch date, iQOO hasn’t confirmed it yet.

3. Moto Edge 50 Pro

The Moto Edge 50 Pro is Motorola’s next flagship device and it will boast the new Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip. A micro listing on Flipkart confirmed that the device will have a 6.7-inch 1.5K OLED with a refresh rate of 144 Hz.

The phone will have a 50 MP main camera and a 13 MP ultra-wide lens for capturing wide landscapes. More so, the device is expected to feature IP68 rating and have support for wireless charging. As for the launch data, leaks suggest that the Moto Edge 50 Pro will launch in India on April 3, 2024.

4. Redmi Note 13 Turbo / POCO F6

Xiaomi sub-brand, Redmi, has also confirmed that they are launching a device with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip inside. While the company has not revealed the name of the smartphone, we do know that the device will be launching later this month.

Realme GT Neo 6

Some leaks suggest that the device is going to be the Redmi Note 13 Turbo or POCO F6 (in India). Nonetheless, the device will feature a larger 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED screen with a refresh rate of 144 Hz. More details suggest that the battery will be 6000 mAh and support 80W fast charging.
