The Chinese smartphone brand OnePlus is gearing up to launch a new speaker soon. This will expand the company’s portfolio of audio products, which currently consist of a couple of wired/wireless earbuds and neckbands. Most recently, OnePlus released the Nord Buds 2R and the Nord Buds 2, which cost Rs. 1,799 and Rs. 2,499, respectively. Here’s how the company teased its upcoming speaker and the design.

OnePlus Speaker Teaser

On November 16, 2023, OnePlus India uploaded a teaser video of what appears to be its first-ever speaker. The video contains two subtitles, saying “the wonder of music meets the power of tech,” and “#comingsoon,” suggesting that the speaker could roll out shortly.

The teaser also reveals the internal hardware of the speaker, indicating that it could feature more than one woofer facing multiple directions. However, whether this is a hint at the speaker’s translucent or transparent design is not known.

Other than this, the company hasn’t revealed any details about the speaker’s moniker, specifications, battery life, connectivity, or price. Interestingly, we haven’t seen OnePlus’ sister brands, Vivo or Oppo, releasing a similar speaker, which is often the case with smartphones, giving us a fair idea of what a particular model could carry.

Speculating the launch date, we believe that OnePlus could reveal this device in November last week or December first week, ahead of the new year online sales.
