Sachin Tendulkar doesn't need an introduction and when we associate his name with a brand it becomes news. Something similar happened with Smartron an internet of things based Indian startup company. After making its debut in 2016, the company recently came up with srt.phone as a tribute to the little master who is also an investor and brand ambassador of the company.
Smartron boasts the fact that the phone is both designed and engineered in India. The Sachin signature series smartphone features decent innards. the phone, under the hood, features an octa-core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 chipset which is made using 28nm manufacturing process. The chipset does not belong to the latest generation but it's powerful enough to meet most challenging tasks.
The chipset is paired with Adreno 510 GPU and 4gigs of RAM to meet graphical and multi-tasking needs. The phone comes with 32GB and 64GB of onboard storage but sadly there is no microSD card slot. However, the company is offering unlimited storage on its tCloud for srt.phone users.
The phone comes out of the box running on near stock version of Android 7.0 Nougat and company promises at least couple of major Android update apart from regular security patches. It boasts of a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor which as per company claims can unlock the phone in less than a tenth of a second.
For shutterbugs, the phone comes with 13MP rear and 5MP selfie camera. It is backed by a 3000mAh battery. Smartron SRT phone supports most common connectivity options including dual SIM cards, 4G VoLTE, WIFiI, NFC, GPS and more.
All said and done, the phone has competent hardware but looks shabby. The Smartphone Srt phone best price in India at the time of launch is Rs. 12,999 for 32GB variant and Rs. 13,999 for 64GB variant. The SRT Phone is Flipkart exclusive as of now.
