Gone slow after 3 months of usage
It's an average Phone which created hate towards Samsung in me. I bought it at the price of 25000/- assuming I will not to buy another handset for 3 years. The predecessor of this phone was HTC P3400 which was doing good from last 4 years but it gave up after it played Holi. Anyways the good/bad things will be in Pros and Cons List but here is mine long(not so actually) ownership. So i bought this phone and paid 25000/- and came back to home. Started unpacking and plugged in the battery. Clicked the power button and Amazing display started working with cool looking S logo. I was staring the beautiful pixel density and suddenly i realized that I have spent enough time on this. When it will go to next screen? 1 min passed and then 2 and than 5. I pulled off the battery and restarted but the same error. Ran back to shop and asked him for replacement. The guy was nut. He tried and then started deaasenbling the set. I asked him for replacement and he was insisiting for repair. Anyways after little struggle I got new handset. Tested it very well there for 30 minutes. Now things were fine and I was amazed by the performance and display. Flaunted everywhere with pride. The only problem was with it's limited RAM i wasnt able to install so many applications but that's not something you can't live with it. Also there was no option to upgrade to Android v 2.3. This was serious issue as v 2.2 doesnt support hindi fonts. After 3 months, I installed some high end games and there was serious lag in phone. To the extent of Horror, phone use to hang is call comes in between. Here also I compromised and stopped playing games. Now the browser has developed a problem and used to display error message followed by a phone hang. Gradually the condition was going more worst. Now lag was permanent and phone hang problem was more frequent. Moment you decide to call someone and open phonebook, OMG!!! it will take ages to open phonebook. Now I though that's my improper management of Contacts in Google. So I resorted by Google Contacts, created a seperate group for my phone contacts. I did a factory reset for my phone, while configuring phonebook, I carefully configured it to select contacts from dedicated contact group. Now things were fine and phone was working smoothly. But for how long will the goats mommy will have fun? Again the same symtoms have started appearing within 15 days. Than I have said good bye to phone, bought a Micromax A116 (Still living it with since Feb 12). One day I forgiven the Samsung and thought to give it a try. Actually wanted a dedicated GPS for my car as MMX dont have G-Sensor. So booted by Samsung I9000, formatted it was back in business. With serious lags in a blank phone. Why there is a lag if nothing is intalled, no music or big files. Seriously this phone had shaken the trust from smartphones specially from Samsung.
