The variety and value per dollar of Android devices make them a far better purchase than an iPhone. The savings don't stop at the purchase price, as it costs 40% more to insure the iP and the deductible is 50% higher. Ancillary devices, such as chargers, external speakers & headphones/ear buds are cheaper for Android OS devices as there are more brands to choose from than for the iP. Replacements for broken iP are often refurbished phones, even if you bought it new, and you'll continue to pay the new phone price if the original isn't paid off yet . The belief that iP is safer is also a fallacy, as it applies only to accessing the physical device. They are just as susceptible to malware, viruses and phishing, hacks via infected email or fake website, etc., and it costs more to clean up the iP when it is compromised. Security of iPs is further diminished due to them being exclusively manufactured in China, a country well known for spying and questionable business ethics. When founder Steve Jobs passed away the company abandoned quality for profit at it's customer's expense. The iP is the most common phone in the world, without much variation between models, so a thief's job of making knock-offs is also simplified. If, like me, you've been continuing to buy iP based on past performance it's time to realize that "past" is just this; ancient history. Do you and your bank accounts a favor, before shelling out another grand for an archaic iP, check out some of the many cells using Android OS. I highly recommend a Samsung (made in South Korea) If you are wealthy and have the extra $$ to spend and want the best, get a Sony (made in Japan), they make some of the world's best cell phones. Even if you can't afford them, you should check them out anyway, sort of like test driving a Lamborghini when you only have enough cash for an Accura, it's a guilty pleasure. If you just can't kick your iPhone habit, buy preowned, pay for an independent IT service to ensure authenticity and check fo/remove security threats, then buy a comprehensive security service from a reputable company (i.e.:Nord or McAfee). The new iPs dpon't live up to the hype, nor the exorbitant costs associated with them. Samsungs outstanding picture quality, large, crisp, clear screens and significantly lower acquisition and maintenance costs coupled with the user friendly Android OS make it one of the best cell values for the money, especially for non-techies like myself. So, if you're looking for more bang for your bucks, ditch the dinosaur iOS and go Android. I did and it is one of the best choices I've ever made. From: A very happy Samsung A14 owner. ✌️
