Honor 5C is the new affordable handset from Huawei, and the Chinese smartphone maker is laying stress on 16nm FinFET based Kirin 650 SoC as being its primary highlight.
Kirin 650 is a big.LITTLE architecture based chipset with 4 cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.7GHz and another 4 performance cortex-A53 cores ticking at 2.0GHz. Since its based on 16nm process node, theoretically it should be power efficient. The chipset is further aided by 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage.
The Honor 5C has a 5.2 inch dispaly with Full HD display resolution, and the display mirrors Android Lollipop based Emotion UI 4.1. Huawei's emotion UI 3.1 was quite aggresive with power management. If the same has been retained for the next iteration, you can expect reasonably good battery backup from the 3000 mAh battery inside.
Honor 5c is 8.3 mm thick around the waist and weighs 156 grams. For photography, there is a 13 MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture lens, autofocus and LED flash, and an 8MP selfie snapper, also with f/2.0 lens.
On the rear, you will also find a fingerprint sensor. Other notable features include 4G LTE, hybrid dual SIM card slot, and FM radio. In terms of design and innards, the Honor 5C can be considered as a refined Honor 5X, which is perhaps a good thing.
The lowest price of Honor 5C in India is expected to be around 11,999 INR. It will go head to head against phones like Le 2 and Moto G4 Plus. More information regarindg India availability will be revealed at India launch, which is scheduled for 22nd June 2016.read more →
