At a time when every smartphone manufacturer is opting for a big-bang glittering media event for their product launch, HTC is doing things differently. HTC has quietly listed HTC one E9s Dual SIM on its site away from all the media attention.
The mid-range smartphone comes equipped with a 1.5 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6752M processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. The MediaTek processor is not as zippy as Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 (since available within the same price range) but silently does what it is supposed to do. The chipset performs well under normal conditions without showing any lag. HTC has opted for a 5.5-inch 720P display instead of a 1080P which was sported in original HTC E9. The new smartphone is also thicker and heavier compared to its predecessor.
When it comes to photography, HTC One E9s Dual SIM houses a 13-megapixel camera on its back with BSI sensor, autofocus and LED flash. HTC has trusted its good old 4-megapixel UltraPixel camera as a selfie snapper. To improve the quality of selfie’s in low light, HTC has placed a BSI sensor with the front camera as well. Both primary and secondary shooters are capable of 1080p video recording.
The One E9s Dual SIM runs on Andriod Lollipop with HTC’s Sense UI running on top of it. The phone comes with 16GB of inbuilt storage, if that’s not enough, you can add up to 2 TB via a microSD card. For Indian buyers, the new handset supports Indian 4G LTE bands, which means a user can make the most of high-speed data connectivity available in the country. All these features come for a hefty price. In our opinion, HTC has priced One E9s Dual SIM on the higher side. Phones with the similar specification are available in the market for a considerably lower price. Therefore, it would have been great if HTC could have kept One E9s Dual SIM under 20000 INR. Currently, HTC One E9s Dual SIM best price in India Rs. 21,142 on eBay.
- Indian 4G LTE band support
