Coolpad yesterday launched an upgrade to its most successful handset in India, dubbed as the Coolpad Note 3S. This successor of the Note 3 makes several improvements and is perhaps what the Coolpad Note 5 should have been in the first place.
Let's talk about the features and specifications of Coolpad Note 3S. The handset comes with glossy front and back cover sandwiching a thin metal side frame. At first glance, you would feel that the phone has been freshly dipped in a bowl of paraffin wax. That, in no way, means that it looks nasty. It does feel quite a bit premium, though just like glass the material used on the back is a fingerprint magnet.
The 5.5-inch display has 720p HD resolution, but Coolpad is using a good quality panel here and the color contrast and tones are pretty vivid. On the inside, there is power efficient 1.36GHz Snapdragon 415 octa-core chipset paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, out of which 23GB is available at user end. You can also add up to 32GB of MicroSD card slot.
The software bit is again where it gets interesting. Coolpad Note 3S will be shipping with almost stock Android Marshmallow ROM. There is no Cool UI on top. This should help with optimized speed and power efficiency. Since there is a modest 2500 mAh battery inside, power efficient hardware and software is more of a mandatory requirement.
The handset further includes a 13MP rear camera with LED Flash and 5MP front-facing camera, each with f/2.2 aperture optics. Coolpad has also added an efficient pro mode in the camera app to help you get more out of each shot. Other notable additions include a fingerprint sensor,4G VoLTE support, USB OTG, and Dual SIM card slots.
The Coolpad Note 3S Price in India is 9,999 INR. It will retail exclusively on Amazon,in in open sales.
