Works as it says, greta deal for the price
Came in a decent package. works fine with SD and Micro SD cards in the slot. The cards fit decently and are easy to access to put in n remove. A small red LED light turns the card reader, on the moment it reads the card. with usb attached. NO complaints yet after 50 + uses. on windows xp, 7 and 8.

Got the item today. Like all other card readers working good initially. Real test with card readers are how it works after about 6 months. Pros: 1) Like many other reviewers have said. Very prompt detection. 2) Easy automated usb install. 3) Looks good. Cons: 1) Can't read multiple cards at a time. Thus as yu connect this to an usb drive, only one extra drive will show in My Computer. Then you plug in a card in one slot that shows in that drive. You lug in another card in another slot, the previous one vanishes and the new one appears. (Unlike my previous sony reader, which added 4 drives as soon as it was connected, and read cards separately in each of these drives. But again that was 6 times as expensive as this one, and died within 6 months. So no good) 2) On the body no indication which slot is for which type of card. You kind of have to make it out from the size and do some permutation combination. (in case you are dumb like me, SD and MMC use the same slot. RS-MMC also use the same slot just that you need to insert it horizontally) 3) If you are lazy like me and plan to keep the card reader attached lifelong to a usb port, then there is a chance you might lose the cap.( Again why do you need it if you don't plan to open it :) ) Nutshell: Go for this before going for an expensive one, because this costs you almost nothing. Just to remind you I had a very expensive sony card reader, which does not detect cards anymore. If this runs for at least six months you can buy six of these for one highend reader.
