Best in the market!
This is a great gaming laptop! good looking design with powerful performance and great cooling system. Highly recommend ✔ Good stuff - > Good looking design > Great display > Decent AMD power > Solid plastic build > Loaded with ports > No heating issues. Ok stuff - > ok sounding speakers > logo is a sticker which will come off. > ok battery Bad stuff- >You are going to get BSOD and screen freezes out of the box You will have to update all drivers, Bios and Flash EC firmware only then it will run smoothly without any problems.

After using this laptop for a while, I can say for sure, that MSI and and AMD did a great job coming together for an all AMD laptop. The display is the main highlight, it has vibrant colours and good viewing angles while also having a 120Hz refresh rate and FreeSync. This is probably the best display in this price segment. The Ryzen 7 name, maybe slightly misleading, as in real world performance, it can barely match something like the i5 8300H or 9300H. That's acceptable, considering the 35W power limit, while Intel chips cap at 45W. The advantage the 35W chip provides is seen elsewhere, when it comes to thermal performance. The laptop barely crosses 75°C after intense gaming sessions lasting well over 2 hours.the MSI Cooler Boost 5 technology really shines, with the 7 heatpipes and 2 fans working efficiently, with fan speeds topping off at 6300-6400RPM. The GPU, being a 7nm unit, is thermally efficient, and provides really stable and playable framerates in modern titles with high settings It does offer better'performance than a 1050Ti or 1650 mobile graphics card, but the 4GB memory can't keep up with the mobile 1660Ti cards. The keyboard is also enjoyable, being responsive and useful for gaming. One aspect to mention is, the keyboard layout is quite different and is in my opinion, cluttered. It's not a deal breaker, just something that takes some getting used to. The trackpad is decent, offering precise tracking and good real estate for all Windows 10 gestures. The physical right and left click buttons are a nice touch. The webcam quality is just terrible, and the speakers are average sounding laptop speakers. The port selection is quite good, offering support for 2 external displays via HDMI and Mini DisplayPort connections. There are 3 USB 3.0 ports, which are illuminated by a red backlight, whether you'll like it is dependent on personal preference. They can be turned off in MSI's Dragon Center software. Additionally, there's a USB Type C 3.2 Gen 2 port and also a SD card reader, if you need them. The port selection is great, but the positioning is what causes issues. This is a major issue, and something you'll have to consider. The 2 USB ports on the right side of the device are to the far end of the device, while the power connector port is also on the right, but in the middle section of the device. This makes it annoyingly hard to route cables, but also more so if you use your mouse connected to the right side ports, causing cable tangles and a messy desk overall. The build quality is excellent, the laptop feels rigid, and the hinge mechanism feels solid with very little display flex. The top lid is made of aluminium, bput the rest of the chassis is plastic. Upgradeability is also a little annoying, as to get to the m.2 SSD slot, the entire cooling system of heatpipes and fans has to be disconnected. RAM slots and the HDD slots are easily accessible. Display bezels are also really thin, offering a much more immersive experience, while also keeping the overall size of the laptop manageable and portable. There are dedicated buttons for power on/off, opening MSI'S Dragon Center software, and activating Turbo Mode for the fans. The Turbo Mode and Dragon Center buttons are not especially clicky, but get the job done. Windows 10 Home comes pre-installed, without Microsoft Office. Over-all, I'm satisfied with my purchase and I love the product, despite its shortcomings. Hope I could help someone looking to purchase this laptop.

Very affordable and a powerful gaming notebook
At the core of the Alpha 15 is an AMD Ryzen 7 3750H processor and an AMD Radeon RX 5500M GPU. Priced at $999.99, this system also comes with 16GB of RAM, a half-terabyte PCI-E SSD, and a fast 144Hz 1080p FreeSync display. This hardware loadout makes the system relatively fast for a 2020 notebook. The Alpha 15 is targeted as being both an affordable gaming laptop and a high-performance gaming PC. Priced just under $1,000, the Alpha 15 offers substantial value in the form of its high-end keyboard and fast 144Hz display. This, added to its solid gaming performance, makes the system a rather tempting solution for gamers looking to get the best system they can without spending more than $1,000. It’s also worth noting that all of the competing systems, with the exception of the MSI GL65 9SC, carry higher price tags. Overall, given its price point, performance, and features, I’d recommend the Alpha 15 as a strong option for anyone shopping in the sub $1,000 gaming laptop market.
