Good budget friendly laptop
Finally after searching all the dealers in my city and dell exclusive store I couldn't find this laptop.This is not available in any other online store as i noticed. I think it is the best in the 30K budget.The windows version costs around 35K.I got mine for 32750/-.I was afraid buying online as some said the I could receive tampered product but when I opened the package everything was fine the seal was intact. Once I got it just before the next day of Ubuntu 14.04 release. I removed the preinstalled version,a Dells version of 12.04 which sucked and did clean install of 14.04. Everything is working fine as of now.WiFi is also working out of the box. The hardware performance is decent CPU is clocked at 1.8Ghz.Unity became laggish after opening lot of apps,I had to turn off animation.Upgrading RAM to 4Gb is a must. I bought this laptop to replace my old Inspiron 1464 which is Chernobyl,heats like hell. Nothing like that happened with this one.I haven't yet did heavy GPU consuming task yet. Design is OK.The matte thing looks good.Though it could seem like a cheap ugly rubbery cover.The keyboard design and most things are same as my old Inspiron.The touch-pad is huge. I just had it for 2 days so I cant say anything about battery life it seems reliable.Gives around 3hrs.
