Nice product
Well, I've only had this machine for a day now but I can definitely leave some first impressions for anyone interested in buying this laptop. PERFORMANCE: CPU - So first off, specs wise, this thing is an absolute monster. The Ryzen 7 4800HS (35 watt TDP) fitted into it beats i9 processors for multi-core perfs and is an outstanding performer OVERALL. (read below for very important information) Cinebench R20 on battery - 3089 Cinebench R20 on power supply - 3986 GPU - The 1660Ti would be considered an average performer as it performs well above the previous generation's 1060 and slightly below the 1070. A similar trend holds up for the 1070 MaxQ and 1660Ti MaxQ. The RTX option is a bit overpriced imo, but if you want that extra 'oomph' (while making some sacrifices, read below) RAM - snappy 16 GB @ 3200MHz. Look up how much RAM you need for your usage. If you need to add more, keep in mind 8 GB of RAM is soldered onto the motherboard and there is one populated 8 GB slot that you can replace with a higher capacity SODIMM RAM module. SSD - I received a unit with a WD SN 530 SSD (512 GB capacity). The SSD is fast and snappy as all SSDs are, and it should be enough for your general use. Don't think about getting 2000 MB/s results in CrystalDiskMark, but let's be real - you don't really need those numbers. Well, unless you are running a server or plan to export/import large amounts of data, in which case you may either replace this SSD or add another one as this laptop comes with 2 NVMe slots, one populated and one empty. Further, you should know that both of these are PCIe x2, not x4, but for most of the drives out there they cannot even reach the theoretical limit of x2 slots, so you should be fine too. DISPLAY - the 240 Hz display option that I have purchased is an absolute beauty. It is gorgeous, crisp and vivid with a 98% sRGB and ~75% AdobeRGB with a truly goo response time that will not disappoint you. Infact, the display alone at this price point (I got mine for ~1L) convinced me to buy it. Perfect for gaming and some light content creation. Viewing angles are excellent as expected of an IPS display. DESIGN - while design may be subjective for a lot of people, from a sheer 'looks' point of view I will tell you that this laptop doesn't disappoint at all. It is very sturdily built and looks sleek while still being enticing. It is a very dense feeling laptop and in a small form factor so it is not practical to move it with one hand, but a perfect weight for holding with two hands, if that gives you a better sense. ******IMPORTANT**************** While the laptop doesn't lose in the LOOKS side of things design wise, it had a QUESTIONABLE COOLING DESIGN built into it. The idle temperatures on both the CPU and GPU sit at ~50+ C right after unboxing. Under load, it gets uncomfortably hot to 90 C and maybe even beyond that depending on how heavy the load is. LUCKILY THIS SHOULD NOT BE A DEALBREAKER. The CPU packed into this machine is a game chnager and somewhat difficult to tame in such a chassis. Ryzen processors are designed to boost as long as their thermals alowe them to and this results in the abnormal idle temps. The favs themselves have been sealed off with a plastic covering (which can be somewhat easily, but irreversibly removed). The plastic covers are riveted to the bottom plate of the laptop and their removal may void your warranty. Despite that, there are still some fixes that can give you really good thermals and batter life when idle. To find these fixes, just go to REDDIT, and in the r/ZephyrusG15 subreddit refer to the pinned posts. A small 2 minute software tweak brought my thermals into low 40s from high 50s and greatly improved battery life. No risk involved, you wilm just be disabling boost when idle for the processor. ******************************** BATTERY LIFE - I cannot comment yet as I have yet to tes my average times with the battery. But it looks promising with the fix from the subreddit applied. There is also the feature to charge to only 80% or 60% to prevent aging of the battery which is also very useful. Will update details about the battery life as soon as possible. All in all, if you have some idea of how to tame the thermals of a laptop (no, ryzen doesn't exactly undervolt the same way as Intel does) and have the time to invest a bit into finding a fix, go for it. It is a beautiful laptop and trust me, it looks much better in your hands than it does in the adverts. If you feel like the cooling issue is not acceptable, well, this is more or less the best laptop in this segment. So for now, wait for better ryzen laptops or settle for Intel ones. Personally, I'm very satisfied with my purchase but the cooling definitely should have been better. Stay safe and take care!

Waste of money!
A clear sabotage by Asus in favour of expensive and ineffective intel processors. Blocking the key air vents with papers, to show poor thermal for AMD, is a big self-sabotage made by Asus. They should refrain from this kind of practice if they want to maintain there good and fair reputation. Specification wise this is the best and economic gaming laptop one can have.
