Not worth of spending extra money for the sake of durability
Better go to WD or Seagate passport backup drive rather spending extra money as it just contain one rubber cover which doesn't seem to be protecting in use HDD. Rather go for any other brand where you would get more warranty.

I purchased this HDD in April. Data Transfer rates are frustratingly low when compared to my WD & Seagate HDD's. The idea was to keep a backup of the valuable data that sits in my existing hard drive. So I wanted a sturdy hard drive which serves me for long. But this Adata drive went dysfunctional within two months of buy. Quite bulky and unwieldy. Go for Seagate or WD. This is no good.

Very Loose Cable Connection
While the case itself may be rubber covered and shockproof - the cable connection is really weak. Once it gets a little banged you can forget getting it to stay connected. Slightest touch or movement will disconnect and interrupt whatever you are doing. The way the cable attaches to the drive itself is absolutely horrible. It comes out on its own and I find myself having to keep reconnecting it.
