Bezel-less technology is the latest Design triumph achieved by a few brands. Undoubtedly, it is the new generation fad. Companies like Samsung (which is celebrated to have the best displays) came so close to true Bezel-less technology with their S-Edge series smartphones, but then again there are several constraints involved.

ZTE, a popular Chinese smartphone, will bring a Bezel-less smartphone to IFA 2016, and it could very well be the Nubia Z11.

What actually is a bezel-less display?

For those who are unfamiliar with this term. Let me briefly explain this technology, which has emerged from China. By the term ’bezel-less’, it implies that the frame holding the screen is shaved off to extreme proportions, thus facilitating an awesome, immersive edge-to-edge viewing experience.

We can’t entirely blame OEMs for not taking the trouble to carry this technology at an affordable price point. Firstly, to bring up any new technology, companies need to have a strong R&D base (most of the company rely on third party manufacturers to bring in a new technology). Secondly, they have to take the burden of creating a new software to back such technology. The software should be mastered to differentiate and eliminate accidental touches.

ZTE has released a teaser ahead of the IFA event that tempts you to ‘Dream Without Boundaries’. Back in June, ZTE launched their Nubia Z11 in China that claimed to possess a bezel-less display.

That’s not all there is to it. The Nubia Z11 also flaunts a 1.25GHz quad-core Snapdragon 820 paired with 4GB ram and 64GB onboard storage (expandable), 16 MP primary camera and 8 MP Selfie snapper and the handset is powered by a 3,000 mAh non-removable battery. Z11 runs Android 6.0(Marshmallow) out-of-the-box.

Even if you are not a smartphone lover or a Tech-Freak, you still have good reason to tune into the IFA 2016, as Nubia has hired the UEFA Euro cup 2016 winning Captain- Cristiano Ronaldo as their brand ambassador.

The IFA event will kick off at 19:30 pm IST, Wednesday, August 31, 2016. ZTE will Display their smartphones starting from 2nd till 7th of September.
