As the Xiaomi’s new budget smartphones are near completion, information regarding their specs has started pouring in.
Both Redmi 5 and Redmi Note 5 – successors of company’s highly popular Redmi 4 and Redmi Note 4 smartphones – have been hit by several tipsters, and now a fresh set of leaks reveal some more details about these upcoming phones.

Xiaomi’s new entry level:

According to the tweet, the Redmi 5 will come in three variants – Redmi 5A, Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus. The line-up is pretty much same as its predecessor, Redmi 4, except for the ‘Plus’ variant. It is being said that the ‘Plus’ variant will be the top-grade model of Redmi 5 series and could feature some additional specs.
The leak also revealed that the Redmi 5A, which will be the base variant and come in 16GB storage, will be available in Rose Gold, Gold, Black and Grey color variants. The Redmi 5 will be equipped with 16GB and 32GB storage space and will come in Gold and Black color options whereas the Redmi 5 Plus 32GB and 64GB will come in Gold, Black and Grey.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Features and Specification
On the other hand, the images of the upcoming Redmi Note 5 were leaked online by Slashleaks. Although the source did not reveal the specification yet it managed to give a clearer glimpse into what the phone might look like. The Redmi Note 5 will come with a large display with 18:9 screen ratio and no home button up front.
While the image of the phone’s rear panel was not shared, previous leaks have suggested that Note 5 will have a 16MP+5MP vertically placed dual-camera at the back accompanied by an LED flash, and a fingerprint sensor just below that. For selfies, there will be a 12MP sensor.
Other than that, the expected 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) display phone could employ a MediaTek Helio P25 octa-core SoC, under the hood. The Indian version is likely to be powered by a Snapdragon chipset.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Price
As for the pricing of the phone, the Redmi Note 5 will remain a budget smartphone. The phone could be priced at a starting range of RMB 999 (roughly to Rs 9,800 INR) that could go all the way up to RMB 1,699 (roughly to Rs 16,700 INR).
