Xiaomi has once again begun the roll-out of its Android One phone, Mi A1. Last week, the Chinese maker had to halt the phased rollout of the Oreo update due to some issues cropping up in updated phones.
Even if you have already updated your Mi A1 with Oreo, you’ll still get a new one that has all the bugs fixed. The file weighs in at around 90MB.

Bugs Fixed in New Update for Mi A1
Several issues were reported by Mi A1 users who were using their devices with Oreo update. The new update from Xiaomi is expected to fix most of them. Here are a few issues Mi A1 users have reported that have probably been addressed in this update:
- Lag in the Camera App
- Unresponsive navigation buttons
- Irregular adaptive brightness
- Dial app lag and stuttering
- Swipe gestures on Fingerprint sensor not working
It is to be noted that this is a staged roll-out so not all Xiaomi Mi A1 users will get the Oreo treat at the same time.
How to Check Android Oreo update on your Mi A1?
To update your Xiaomi Mi A1 to Android Oreo your handset should be running on Android Nougat version 7.12.19, Xiaomi’s MIUI forum said.
If you haven’t received the update notification, you can check the availability of the Android 8.0 Oreo update on your Mi A1 by going to Settings > Software updates.
