Xiaomi Redmi Note 7S is coming to India May 20, as was confirmed by none other than India MD Manu Kumar Jain. In the recent past, Xiaomi has also talked about a Snapdragon 730 phone and has even trolled OnePlus with a Flagship Killer 2 launch promise, and this overzealous marketing might have sky-rocketed your expectations from the upcoming launch. Well, we’d advise you to take a more balanced approach moving forward.
A popular Weibo blogger suggests otherwise. According to the leak(that now has been pulled down), the Redmi Note 7S will be the rebranded Chinese Note 7 variant that earlier debuted with 48-megapixel Samsung GM1 sensor.
This makes sense since Xiaomi has already confirmed a 48MP sensor for the upcoming Redmi Note 7S, and that kind of corroborates the claim. Besides, going by the naming convention, the 7S isn’t likely to be positioned above the SD675 powered Note 7 Pro
The leaked image also shows other Redmi Note 7S key specifications including a 2.2Ghz Snapdragon 660 chipset and a 4000mAh battery.

While Xiaomi is subtly dropping teasers every other day about the Redmi Note 7S it remains to be seen how accurate this information coming from Weibo proves to be. We would advise you to keep your expectations balanced.
