Xiaomi Redmi 4 To Debut On November 4, Redmi 4A Might Tag Along

Amidst all the speculation, Xiaomi is gearing up to launch the Redmi 4 in homeland China on November 4 as per the latest teaser posted by the company on social media. That’s not all, there is a possibility that Redmi 4A will also be introduced at the same event. The Redmi 4 smartphone launch event will kick start at 7pm CST (4:30pm IST) on November 4.

The Redmi 4 is said to come with a 5-inch 1080p IPS display, Snapdragon 625 octa-core chipset, and 2GB/3GB RAM options.

The upcoming Redmi series smartphone is likely to flaunt a new design inspired by the Redmi Note 4. It sports a unibody metal build with chamfered edges on the corners. The phone has 8.9mm thick waistline and weighs 160 grams in total.

The fingerprint sensor can be spotted at the back along with the conventional antenna bands. A 2.5D curved glass on top of the 5.5-inch display another addition over the existing Redmi 3S.

The Xiaomi Redmi 4 will come out of the box running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based MIUI 8. It will come with a dual SIM hybrid SIM slot which accepts 4G VoLTE SIM card. On the lines of its predecessor, it too comes with a non-removable 4000 mAh battery which supports fast charging.

On the camera front, it is expected to feature a 13MP rear snapper with LED flash and a 5MP front snapper both capable of recording 1080p videos.It will be made available in Grey, Silver and Gold colour options.

On the other hand, the Redmi 4A smartphone is suggested to house a smaller 5-inch 720p LCD panel and 2GB of RAM. It is likely to feature a 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 chipset alongside 16GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded using a microSD card.

It is likely to include a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera, for photography enthusiasts. It is said to measure 139.9×70.4×8.5mm and weigh 140 grams. A 3030mAh battery provides the necessary juice to fuel all hardware. The phone will reportedly be available in Rose Gold and Gold color options.
