Xiaomi Prepares For Another Launch in India To Connect With Grass Root Levels

Xiaomi plans to bid adieu the year 2017 in style. After the launch of its new selfie smartphone series, the Chinese mega-electronic brand is planning to surprise its Indian audience with a possible device or an initiative that could have an impact on the lives of the rural Indians.

Mr Manu Kumar Jain, the VP of Xiaomi India, who has been on an exploratory mission to India’s hinterland, shared an image on Twitter which came with the text, “Gained insights on the way people lead their lives in rural India. Fingers crossed for a new product that I believe will help change their lives.”

In the context of the topic, another tweet was made by Xiaomi India, a couple of days back. The post teased with an image showing just the letter ‘i’ preceded by tricolor dots and ‘Coming Soon’ message on top.

Xiaomi didn’t make it clear on what it could possibly be, and asked its Mi fans to take a guess on the possible happening. The tweet got mix response from twitterati, who gave the hint for a new smartphone – either Redmi Note 5 or Mi 6.

However, the launch event could be of anything ranging from an entry-level feature phone, an IoT product like a smart bulb, an entry-level smartphone or an expansion of Xiaomi’s smartphone to rural areas that will help the firm to extend its rural market reach via local stores.
