Xiaomi Mi Max with MIUI 7 and 6.44 Inch Display Launched starting at Rs. 14,999

Xiaomi has been on a roll and the sentiment is further substantiated from the fact that Mi Max (First Impression), which recently debuted in China on May 10, has touched Indian shores today. This latest Phablet is running MIUI 7 out-of-the-box, which is now officially available for Xiaomi phones In India.

The Mi Max has been priced aggressively starting at Rs. 14,999 to take on it compatriot LeEco’s Le 2. Top variant of the Mi Max comes with a price tag of Rs. 19,999. All the variants of MI Max will go on sale on Mi.com on July 6 and registrations for the same starts today at 5 PM. Apart for Mi.com, It will available on Amazon, Flipkart and Paytm in an open sale from July 13. The Mi Max comes in Sliver, Gold and Dark Grey color options.

Launched Xiaomi Mi Max Price In India

The Xiaomi Mi Max has a gigantic 6.44-inch display up front mounted on a 7.5mm slim chassis with 74.8 percent screen to body ratio. IPS display on the Mi Max has a running resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and 342ppi pixel density. To protect from scratches it wears a Gorilla Glass 4 protection on top. The base variant of Mi Max is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 where top four ARM Cortex A53 cores are clocked at 1.4GHz while remaining 4 high-performance ARM Cortex A72s are ticking at 1.8GHz. On the other hand, it’s top variant powered by Snapdragon 652 which has similar clocking speeds as the base model.

Mi Max

The Snapdragon 650 variant comes with 32GB storage and 3GB RAM. While the Mi Max based on Snapdragon 652 comes with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage.  For shutterbugs, it is equipped with a 16-megapxiel primary camera with phase detection auto-focus and dual tone LED flash. On the front, it has a 5-megapxiel selfie camera that can be used for videos as well. It is backed by a 4,850mAh battery which is large enough to last a day at least for most of us.

Another highlight of the launch event was its MIUI 8 ROM which is now officially available in India for various Xiaomi phones apart from Mi Max. Xiaomi has made a lot more than cosmetic changes and introduced few new features. It is based on Android Marshmallow and has a redesigned interface with a new Gallery App, Wallpaper Carousel, Notepad app with fingerprint authentication, multi-window view and lots more.
