Xiaomi Mi Max Prime Variant Debuts In India At Rs. 19,999

Ahead of the three-day long Diwali Sale, Xiaomi has introduced the Prime variant of already launched Mi Max with improved hardware. The Mi Max Prime variant will hit the selves as a part of Xiaomi’s Diwali sale which kick starts from October 17 onwards. The new phablet comes with a price tag of Rs. 19,999. It will be available in Silver, Gold and Dark Grey color options.

What’s the major difference between the Mi Max and Mi Max Prime you ask?  From the outside, both phones are identical. The latter is powered by a Qualcomm’s newer baby Snapdragon 652 oct-core chipset ticking at 1.8 Ghz while the former comes with a Snapdragon 650 hexacore chipset. Apart from that, Xiaomi has added an extra gig of RAM and 128GB storage in Mi Max Prime.

In terms of specification, the Mi Max Prime bears a gigantic 6.44-inch full HD IPS screen which is layered by a Gorilla Glass 4 protection. Overall screen to body ratio is 75 percent approx. with 7.5mm slim chassis. Under the hood, enthralls a Snapdragon 652 where top four cortex A72 cores are clocked at a higher frequency of 1.8GHz while remaining cores are ticking at 1.2GHz.

For gaming and multitasking, it has an Adreno 510 GPU and 4GB RAM. It’s hybrid SIM tray supports microSD card up to 256GB. For shutterbugs, it is equipped with a 16-megapxiel primary camera with phase detection auto-focus and dual tone LED flash. On the front, it has a 5-megapxiel selfie camera that can be used for videos as well.

The phone supports a long list of connectivity options including 4G LTE, VoLTE, Dual SIM cards, Bluetooth 4.2, A-GPS with Glonass 802.11ac. With Mi Max Prime you won’t be running haywire with your charger as it packs a 4850mAh non-removable battery. On the software front, it comes out of the box running on MIUI 8 on top of Android Marshmallow.

In this three day long cosmetic Diwali sale Xiaomi is offering a number of products from its portfolio including Mi Air Purifier for Rs. 9,999, the Mi Band 2 for Rs. 1,999, and the 10000mAh Mi Power Bank Pro for Rs. 1,999. There will be also a one rupee flash sales where a few lucky customers get stuff at merely one rupee and the rest are left crying foul.
