Xiaomi may have denied the existence of Mi A2 altogether, but a recent listing hence otherwise. The handset which is said to succeed Xiaomi’s only stock-Android phone – the Mi A1, was spotted on the benchmark site, Geekbench, where it was listed as Xiaomi Mi A2. (हिंदी में पढ़िए)

According to the Geekbench listing, the Xiaomi phone can be seen with Snapdragon 660 SoC and Android Oreo version 8.1.0 running on it. If that rings a bell for you, Xiaomi launched its Mi 6X, the successor of Mi 5X aka Mi A1, with the same hardware in China in April 2018.

Xiaomi Mi A2 Features and Benchmark Scores

The benchmark site that clears the air over the Mi A2 moniker also published its single-core and multi-core benchmark results. As seen in the image below, the Mi A2 with 4GB RAM and octa-core Snapdragon 660 scored 1630 in single-core test and 4657 in multi-core test.

Unfortunately, no other information of Mi A2 was revealed by the listing. However, if we go by its Chinese version Mi 6X specifications, then the handset could feature a 5.99-inch full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D curved glass on top. Unlike the Mi 6X, the Mi A2 is expected to be a stock-Android phone.

For photography, the Mi A2 is anticipated to feature a dual-camera setup of 12MP+20MP sensors on the rear and a 20-megapixel sensor on the front for selfies.

Other specifications that Mi A2 might include are 2,910mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support, LPDDR 4X type RAM, eMMC 5.1 storage, and connectivity options like dual SIM card slots, 4G VoLTe, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and GPS.

As for the price, the Mi A2 India price is expected to be anywhere around Rs. 17k – Rs. 25k bracket. The phone could come in multiple color variants to choose between.

We are yet to hear from Xiaomi official about this development until then take the Mi A2 existence with a grain of salt.
