Xiaomi at the Mi A2 global launch event in Spain said that the Android One phone will be coming soon to 40 countries worldwide including India. Guess what? The Xiaomi Mi A2 India launch date is set and it is to happen on August 8.

What’s interesting here is that Mi A2 Indian variant will support Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0 out of the box. However, Xiaomi won’t be shipping a Quick Charge 4.0 compatible charger bundled within the box. Instead, the Mi A2 Indian retail box will include a 10W wall charger. It is also worth mentioning that the Mi A2 European variant supports Quick Charge 3.0 instead of QC 4.0.

Apart from this, the Mi A2 will get an additional Blue color apart from Black, Gold and Rose Gold which were announced for the europian countries. Xiaomi will bring only two variants of the Mi A2 to India: 4GB RAM with 64GB storage and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage.

The Xiaomi Mi A2 comes with Snapdragon 660SoC which makes it second phone after part of the Vivo X21 (review). The Mi A2 will be running on Stock Android Oreo and will be upgraded to Android P later.

The Mi A2 features dual rear cameras with 20MP+12MP sensors and a 20MP selfie camera. The phone also includes a fingerprint sensor and draws power from 3010mAh battery. Noticeably, the Mi A2 doesn’t include a 3.5mm audio jack
