After announcing Xiaomi Mi 5X launch date yesterday (July 26), the company has listed it online today for registration in China. The official page of Xiaomi Mi 5X features as many as three images of the phone suggesting that it will be offered in three hues -black, gold and rose gold.

Looking at the images, it appears that the phone doesn’t bring anything new to the table design wise. The phone features a thick bezel above and below the display with 2.5D glass layered on top. It has rounded edges, a metal back with rear mounted fingerprint sensor.

The rear camera module placement appears similar to the OnePlus 5. The Mi 5X also gets U-shaped antenna bands.

Xiaomi is still keeping the Mi 5X specification uptight. However, last week’s leaked poster revealed that it is likely to sport a 5.5-inch display that supports full HD resolution. Like Redmi Note 4 and Mi Max 2, It will be powered by Snapdragon 625 chipset and paired with 4 GB of RAM.

Another rumor pointed out that Xiaomi could introduce a high variant of the Mi 5X with Snapdragon 660 coupled with 6GB RAM. The phone contention is claimed to feature a 12-megapixel dual camera system which includes a Sony IMX386 sensor and a Samsung S5k3m3 sensor.
