CES (Consumer Electronics Show) ended recently and it was a haven for tech manufacturers and enthusiasts. At this event in Las Vegas, Yeelight, an innovator in smart
lighting application unveiled a couple of new products, including Apple HomeKit compatible lighting products and a new BLE MESH lighting package. Yeelight aims at making smart lighting easier and improving your home lighting experience. Read further to know all about these.

Apple HomeKit Support

Yeelight is not a subbrand of Xiaomi but it comes under its umbrella as the latter backs it. Yeelight initially introduced products compatible with Apple HomeKit under the Mi brand, including Mi Bedside Lamp 2, Mi Desk Lamp Pro and Mi LED Color Bulb.

These products supported voice control with Siri and could be controlled by the Apple Home app on iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Mac. This meant the inclusion of iOS users who could control home lights using Apple devices.

Now, Yeelight has announced a commitment to support HomeKit in its own products, including Yeelight Aurora light strip plus and Yeelight smart bulbs, which were also exhibited at CES. You could expect HomeKit support for Yeelight products in the coming months.

BLE MESH Lighting Lineup

At CES, Yeelight showcased an array of devices including the light bulbs, the candle bulbs, the downlights, and the spotlights, which could take care of the major lighting needs in your home decoration. This lineup features an easier and more stable connection to the network than the Wi-Fi bulbs, downlights, and spotlights. You could connect batches through the gateway, instead of pairing your lights one by one to the network. So yeah you could save some time and sweat. You would love to know that BLE MESH is actually more stable in connection compared with Wi-Fi.

The individual lights in the batch are dimmable and support the adjustment of color temperature, remote control and programmable via the APP. It also comes with a smart speaker like the Yeelight Voice Assistant and Xiaomi Alarm that has AI integration. So, yeah you could control them with your voice.

Yeelight recently declared the publishing of BLE MESH lighting group in a crowdfunding campaign in China at Xiaomi Youpin last December. The crowdfunding results were quite positive, surpassing the crowdfunding goal by 1607%. Since then they introduced the BLE MESH lighting group to the overseas market through CES.
