With Eluga Mark, Panasonic Gives Center Stage to Security; Launched at 11,990 INR

Panasonic’s latest smartphone Eluga Mark, claims to make user security and privacy its top priority. This latest Eluga series phone comes with enhanced security features. The 4G enabled smartphone is available at a best price of Rs. 11,990 in Royal Gold or Metallic Grey finish.

The FitBit UI (based on Android Lollipop) integrates several software tricks to enhance security. The Eluga Mark handset offers complete protection for personal accounts, cloud data, etc. secured by a fingerprint touch sensor which allows you to register 8 imprints simultaneously.

The Eluga Mark also comes equipped with Android for work support, which includes features like enhanced IT security and BYOD (bring your own device) compatibility for private smart devices to operate on secure corporate networks.

Let’s talk about the core strength now. The phone is powered by a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor and 2GB RAM. It boasts a 5.5-inch large IPS display with a 1280 X 720 pixel resolution.  It comes with an onboard 16GB internal memory, which is expandable up to 32GB via a micro SD. A 13 MP rear camera optimized by LED flash and a 5 MP front-facing lens are added on board for capturing sharp pictures. Equipped with a dual SIM technology, the package includes GPS, 2500 mAh battery, Wi-FI and Bluetooth as connectivity options.

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Pankaj Rana, Business Head – Mobility Division, Panasonic India, said:

With the growing use of smartphones for a wider range of high-risk activities such as access to cloud data and private information, mobile security is a top priority for users. This control-sensitive device, which achieves complex tasks with the press of a finger or a swipe of the thumb, is personalized for the user and protects the smartphone investment. We are approaching an end of the year which brings our portfolio for 2015 to a total of 16 new devices launch with a few more to come. In 2016 we would be focusing on “Make in India” and 4G enabled devices by targeting international markets and regions.
