WhatsApp Outage Forced People to Switch to Normal Texting

A minor crash of WhatsApp servers left all its users frustrated as they couldn’t send or receive messages on the instant messaging app. The hour-long glitch on Facebook-owned WhatsApp left millions of people stranded.

As reported by DownDetector, the WhatsApp problem first started in Europe and afterwards spread to other countries like India, Singapore, Mozambique, Vietnam, and Iraq. According to the site, the outage occurred around 8am EST this morning, with hundreds of people reporting issues with the app.

It all started when people started facing trouble with loading chats and access contacts. When they tried to send a message, it showed Connecting with the wheel of death that never resolved itself. Troubled with this Whatsapp outage, people had to use good old texting.

The clarification on the matter is still awaited from the WhatsApp official. Meanwhile, its users didn’t miss the chance to mock WhatsApp for its failure that affected billions of user globally.
