Reliance has now detailed its Jio Fiber plans for India and as part of its Jio Welcome offer, Reliance Jio will offer free HD TV or a free 4K TV to people who wholeheartedly embrace its upcoming JioFiber and TV bundle by opting for the long term plans.
However, there are some fine print details that you need to know before you get too excited.

What is Jio Welcome Offer?
As part of Jio Welcome Offers, consumers who sign up for Jio Forever Plans will get a free Bluetooth speaker, or free HD TV, or a free 4K TV along with free 4K set-top box. Jio Forever plans will be billed for one year or two years and freebies vary with different plans.
For all Jio Welcome Offer plans, Consumers will get extra 2 months of services (Total 14 Months) and Double monthly data across all plans.
These plans will bundle broadband, TV, subscription of premium OTT content apps, Landline calling, and more under one plan. In fact, Jio’s 4K set-top box will be able to accept feed from local cable operators as well.

Jio offers data speeds ranging from 100Mbps to 1Gbps. The least you will have to spend upfront for the free TV is Rs 29,998 (GST extra) with the one year Diamond plan. The same 24-inch HD TV will be available for free with a two-year subscription to the Gold plan.
The 4K HD TV will be available with a one-year subscription to Titanium plan that costs 101,988 (GST extra).

Reliance Jio Welcome Offer: Is it worth it?
Welcome offer Plans make sense and the freebies are additional incentives. We don’t expect people to be lining up at Jio stores for these TVs, but the extra 2 months of usage and the proposition of double data every month is quite lucrative. The decision would still be based on what internet plan that suits you best, and then perhaps you can consider the long term commitment.
