Vivo Y91i, a low-end budget phone, went official in India earlier in the day. The biggest highlight of the phone is its Helio P22 chipset. This is a trimmed-down variant of the Vivo Y91 with minor changes to meet the low-budget price tag.

Vivo Y91i: Highlights

The Vivo Y91i sports a 6.22-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop notch like the predecessor. The phone seems to feature narrow bezels and thus give you a larger screen real estate (82.9% screen-to-body ratio).

In the optics, the phone packs an 8MP camera in the front with Face Unlock feature. The rear camera includes a 13MP (f/2.2) sensor and there is no secondary depth sensor like in Y91.

Unlock it to interact Vivo’s Funtouch OS 4.5 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo. It is a Dual SIM device with a micro USB at the bottom. Under the hood, it is powered by a whopping 4,030 mAh battery.

Vivo has cut corners by excluding a fingerprint sensor. So, the front camera’s face unlock is your only resort. Another area where you see the difference is in the RAM plus storage department. Out of the box, Vivo Y91i packs 2GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB internal storage only. Fret not, Vivo offers a dedicated slot for expanding the storage up to an additional 256GB.

Vivo Y91i Price and Availability

Though the availability is yet to be revealed. We know that the phone is available in Fusion Black, Sunset Red, and Ocean Blue colors starting today. You could grab the base model with 16GB onboard storage for Rs. 7,990 while the higher model for Rs. 8,990.
