Vivo Y50 with Punch-hole display and Quad Rear Cameras announced

Yet another Vivo phone is here. This time from the Y series – Vivo Y50, to be precise. It was softly launched via the brand’s Cambodian Facebook page. The mid-ranger sports a trendy punch-hole frontier and a domino shaped camera panel at the back. Y50 decks up a gradient finish in Starry Black and Iris Blue colors.

That face measures 6.53-inches with FHD+ resolution. You should be able to unlock it using facial recognition and a square fingerprint reader by the back.

Either way, once you get inside, you will interact with Funtouch OS, probably based on Android 10. We are sticking to probability since much of the specifics are yet to be officially revealed.

Vivo Y50 goes official

Nonetheless, we have learned that the Y50 runs on Snapdragon 665 SoC. It will be out in a solo 8GB RAM plus 128GB storage variant. A 5,000mAh battery will keep it up and running, bolstered by an 18W fast charger.

Circling back to the cameras, the rear shooters comprise a 13MP primary, an 8MP wide-angle, a 2MP macro and lastly a 2MP depth sensor. No word on the selfie snapper.

Vivo Y50 is already available for pre-bookings from April 6 till April 11 at a price of $249 (~Rs. 18,950). The company hasn’t spilled beans on the Indian launch yet. But, when it does, you’ll find the details on Smartprix.
