Vivo quietly launched a budget smartphone, Vivo Y50, in India. The new Y-series phone is listed on Flipkart with features such as 8GB RAM, 5000mAh battery, and FHD+ display. The mid-ranger phone was first introduced globally in April 2020. 

Vivo Y50 specs and other details remain similar to the global variant.

Vivo Y50 Features

The Vivo Y50 gets a 6.53-inch FHD+ full view display with a 2340×1080 resolution. There is a punch-hole at the upper left corner for the 16MP selfie camera. The back panel has the capacitive fingerprint scanner to unlock the device. The Chinese brand has opted for an entry-grade Snapdragon 665 chipset paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage capacity. 

The rear-facing camera of Vivo Y50 has four sensors aligned vertically in a rectangular module. It comprises of a 13MP primary shooter, 8MP ultra-wide lens (120° Feild-of-View), and two 2MP sensors for depth sensing and macro photography. The selfie and video calling benefit from Vivo’s AI smart beauty enhancements. The cameras have special modes like Super night camera, AR Stickers, Palm Capture, Voice Control, SLO-MO, Watermark, Ultra Stable Video, and more.

The Vivo Y50 is loaded with a beefy 5000mAh battery but misses fast charging support. The connectivity options include 4G LTE, dual-band Wifi, Bluetooth 5.0, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a Type-C port. The device runs on Funtouch OS based on Android 10. 

Vivo Y50 Price and Availability

The phone will be available from June 10 onwards on Flipkart, Amazon, Paytm, Tata Cliq and other partner stores for Rs. 17,990. In India, the handset is available in Iris Blue and Starry Black color variants.
