Vivo X50, Vivo X50 Pro, and Vivo TWS Neo launched in India

Vivo has finally launched its much-awaited premium Vivo X50 and X50 Pro smartphones in India on July 16. The online launch event also witnesses Vivo’s first truly wireless earbuds in the country.

The Vivo X50 phones went official globally in early June, and Vivo has been teasing the arrival of X50-series phones in India ever since.

Vivo X50 and Vivo X50 Pro Features

The two phones, Vivo X50 and Vivo X50 Pro, ship with a 6.56-inch FHD+ AMOLED display bearing 90Hz refresh rate and 2376 x 1080 pixel resolution. The panel gets a punch-hole aligned at the top right corner. The X50 Pro comes with a curved display which gives it a more premium look.

The Vivo X50 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 765G chipset integrated with a 5G modem,  paired with Adreno 620 GPU, an 8GB LPDD4X RAM, and 256GB UFS2.1 storage. Interestingly, Vivo is the first brand in India to come with a phone featuring 765G gaming-centric SoC.  On the other hand, the regular X50 settles with a Snapdragon 730 processor, lacking 5G connectivity. It offers 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB internal storage. 

The imaging section of the two phones has a quad-camera setup with a few differences. The Vivo X50 Pro sports 48MP + 13MP + 8MP + 8MP camera sensors, and boasts of Sony IMX598 with Gimbal Stabilization, first of its kind. While the base Vivo X50 has 48MP + 13MP + 8MP + 5MP sensor array with regular Optical Image Stabilizer. The front camera of both devices has a 32MP sensor.

Vivo X50 arrives with a 4200mAh battery while the Pro model has a battery of capacity 4315mAh. Both devices support 33W fast charging and run on Funtouch OS 10.5 based on Android 10.

Vivo has set the price of its high-end Vivo X50 Pro at Rs 49,990 comes in Frost Grey color option. The Vivo X50, on the other hand, starts at Rs 34,990 for the 128GB model and Rs 37,990 for the 256GB model. The X50 offers color options – Glaze Black and Frost Blue.

The Vivo phones will be available on pre-orders starting from today till July 23. The devices are bundled with several bank discounts and cashback offers. They will be available on all the major platforms including Flipkart, Amazon, Tata CliQ, Paytm Mall, and others.

Vivo TWS Earphone Neo Features

Apart from the phones, Vivo also presented its first truly wireless earbuds Vivo Neo in India. The new TWS buds have 14.2mm dynamic drivers like the other high-end TWS earphones. The Vivo Neo offers DeepX Stereo Sound effects and has a design similar to Apple Airpods.

Vivo TWS Neo earphones support Bluetooth 5.2 for connectivity. The battery can perform up to 4.5 hours under AAC encoding and 2.9 hours under Apadapive encoding, keeping the volume to 50%. The brand claims to offer 22 hours backup with the charging case. It also supports the feature of Google Assistant and a “Find My TWS Neo” device locator.

The Vivo TWS Neo is priced at Rs 5,990 and will be available across all major e-commerce platforms and across offline stores from today onwards. The color options are- Starry Blue and Moonlight White.
