Xiaomi has seen tremendous 328 percent growth in India in the first half of 2017 and also managed to sell more than 26.16 million devices worldwide in last quarter alone. Now, reports suggest that it’s planning to take on offline Juggernaut – Vivo and Oppo – by introducing a new line-up which will retail in offline market and be endorsed by renowned celebrities.

Xiaomi, which started as an online sensation, has been trying to crack the offline huddle for more than a year now. The company recently opened its Mi Home store in Bangalore and announced its plans to add 100 more such stores in the next one year.

Xiaomi New Sub-brand

As mentioned above, Xiaomi could also rope in some celebrity for endorsement as is per the conventional offline marketing strategy.  The leaked image of the upcoming smartphone seems to be inspired by Apple iPhone 7 Plus. It appears to flaunt a dual rear camera setup with flash sitting next to it on the left. Closer to the top edge, there’s a U-shaped antenna line that stretches from left to right corner.

Xiaomi’s offline success story will depend on its distribution network, on what it offers and at what price it offers it. The new category phones are expected to be announced in the next few weeks.

Apart from this, Xiaomi is all set to launch Mi 6 Plus in China later this week. Also, Xiaomi’s India head Manu Jain has teased a big screen phone (Mi Max 2) to be launch in India on July 18.
