Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 chipset will likely be the most demanded mobile platform in 2021. The prime reason for it will be its potential to democratize 5G technology and take it to budget buyers. Vivo has seemed to have seen that potential early as just a week after Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 480 announcement, the Chinese smartphone maker has made its Vivo Y31s official. It’s an affordable 5G phone with features such as a 90Hz FHD+ display, 5,000mAh battery, dual-cameras, and more.

The Vivo Y31s comes with a dual-camera module at the back and an 8MP selfie sensor punched into the notch. The rear camera module has a 13MP primary paired with a 2MP depth sensor. Specs-wise, the Vivo Y31s is powered by the Snapdragon 480 5G chipset coupled with up to 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage. The phone will work on both dual-mode 5G (SA/ NSA).

It packs a 5,000mAh battery bundled with an 18W fast-charger within the box. The phone comes out running on FuntouchOS 10.5 software which is based on Android 11. Vivo continues to back a 3.5mm audio jack by featuring it in Vivo Y31s. It also includes a USB Type-C charging port, Bluetooth 5.1, and Wi-Fi 802.11ac as connectivity options. For biometric, Vivo has embedded a fingerprint sensors into power button. The phone comes in three attractive colors – gray, ruby red, and money.
