Capitalizing on the popularity of the current Indian cricket team captain, Virat Kohli, Gionee India has today announced that a ‘Virat Signature’ edition of the company’s popular Gionee A1 (review) smartphone will be made available exclusively on E-commerce site Amazon.
Kohli is the brand ambassador of the company currently, in addition to a host of movie stars that includes the likes of Prabhas, Shruti Hassan, Diljeet Dosanjh and Alia Bhatt.

This ‘Virat’ version of Gionee’s flagship phone for this year will come with his signature inscribed on its metal back cover and will be put up for pre-booking starting today. Other than that, the customers who pre-order the device will get Sennheiser Head phones and can avail other exciting offers.
The sale for this version of the A1 will be held exclusively on Amazon, and will start on June 27th starting 12pm.

Reiterating, the selfie-centric A1 comes equipped with a 16MP front camera, a 4,010mAh battery and ultrafast charging capability. The device runs on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat with Amigo 4.0 on top, and is powered by an octa-core Helio P10 processor, and has a 13MP camera on the back, too.
