Sony’s prolonged affair with bezels seems to be in danger. If rumors are to be believed then the Japanese firm’s forthcoming flagship smartphone won’t have the broad bezels around the display – a thing it has always been criticized for but something that loyalists are used to and perhaps even admire.

According to a report, the Sony is working on a device with the model number – H8541 that will flaunt the trendy full vision 18:9 display surrounded by visibly thin bezels. Although the name of the smartphone hasn’t been revealed yet many are expecting it to be a successor of Xperia XZ Premium.

Sony H8541 Specification (Expected)

Talking about its specification, the flagship Xperia phone could flaunt a 5.7-inch display with 4K resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Furthermore, the smartphone will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor – a slightly inferior processor for a 2018 flagship device.

Sony H8541 will measure 149 x 74 x 7.5mm, which when compared to Xperia XZ Premium (156 x 77 x 7.9mm) makes it a tad smaller and thinner, even though the former has a much larger display.

As for the software part, the Sony phone is said to come with the latest Android Oreo. Other specifications of the phone include 4GB RAM, 64GB of internal storage, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS, NFC, IP68 rating, and a USB Type-C port. The details about camera specification of the phone are still not clear.

Reports are that this upcoming Sony device is under production and we will have to wait till Mobile World Congress event in 2018 to get official backing on the above-mentioned specs, and see what the first Sony smartphone with a bezel-less front looks like.
