The LOTR fandom has been excited about the prequel series for a long time and the first trailer/first look revealed during the Super Bowl 2022 halftime show has shattered all the viewership records, setting the right tone ahead of the September premiere.

According to a major streaming giant, the trailer which is a minute long was watched by 257 million-plus viewers in the first 24 hours. This is the highest viewership for any trailer that premiered during the Super Bowl.
