TCL announces 3rd-gen Mini LED TVs and other innovations at the CES 2022

CES 2022 has already kicked off and TCL has been one of the frontrunners in announcing their products during the event. Mini LED TVs have been one of the major highlights of TCL’s line-up along with some other innovations that the company has announced.

TCL X925 Pro

It is a part of the TCL’s new XL Collection and comes with an 85-inch 8K OLED panel featuring OD Zero mini-LED backlight technology. The company claims that this new television will give smoother and precise picture quality. Its thickness is less than 10mm making it one of the sleekest TVs around.

No other specs have been revealed by TCL as of now.

TCL Display Innovations

2 major display innovations are expected to debut with the upcoming TCL TVs that will launch later this year. These are namely TrueCut Motion and 144Hz refresh rate for 4K TVs. The current range of 4K TVs by TCL provides gaming support at 120Hz which will now be boosted to 144Hz. This will automatically make the gaming experience better.

TCL is partnering with Pixelworls and some other entertainment companies to introduce TrueCut Motion technology to high-end TVs in the North American market. It is an end-to-end solution that will include a new content delivery format and device certification program that guarantees a consistent filmmaker-approved output.

Apart from TVs and Display innovations, TCL has announced some other products too-

AR/VR Glasses- TCL showcased its Leniao AR NxtWear Air VR glasses that come with features like notifications, media playback, and reminders. The NxtWear VR Glasses sport dual 1080p resolution Micro LED displays and allow users to play media, games and act as a secondary display to PC monitors. These will also have support for detachable glasses for making replacements easier.

TCL Book 14 GO- It is the company’s first-ever laptop which has been designed in the thin and light portable category. The laptop is powered by an unnamed Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and will run Microsoft’s Windows 11 OS. The new laptop aimed at professionals and students comes at a starting price of Rs. 26,016 approximately.

TCL Smartphones- New smartphones were unveiled under TCL 30 series including TCL 30 XE 5G and the TCL 30V 5G. 6 more smartphones will launch next month at a different event.

5G Router- TCL LinkHub 5G is a new 5G router that will support up to 256 users and targets residencies, schools, and offices.

Tablet PCs- TCL NxtPaper 10S is a tab that comes with a paper-like display that cuts most of the blue light. It has stylus support and packs an 8000mAh battery. TCL Tab 8 4G, TCL Tab 10L, and TCL TKEE series are also announced.

TCL Game Center- It is a feature that will integrate into TCL’s TVs to allow gamers to socialize more, use phones as controllers, and link with Google Stadia. A new Game Bar will make use of features like split-screen mode and more.

Internet of Things- The new TCL Home App was also unveiled which will allow users to control all their IoT devices and services. The app can be accessed using TCL TVs and smartphones.
