Indian automaker Tata has just released a new teaser for its upcoming Curvv, the company’s first coupe-style SUV. The teaser is titled “Shaped for Extreme Performance,” and it takes place in Jaisalmer. Apparently, the manufacturer took some early production models to the arid conditions of the Thar desert, wherein they tested it at 50 degrees Celcius at 2 PM in the afternoon.

Tata Curvv Featured With New Alloy Wheels?

More than revealing any details about the upcoming Coupe SUV (including colors, style, powertrains, etc.). Even so, we’ve noticed some things worthy of drawing readers’ attention. For instance, we’ve noticed the new alloy wheels that the Curvv could feature. There’s a chance they’ve been featured on the company’s other SUVs, but they are different from the one showcased during the announcement.

Monochrome Wrap And Hidden Side Panels

The teaser, however, doesn’t reveal the vehicle’s body or colors. Instead, the company has covered it in a monochrome wrap (which is good at hiding cuts and creases). Notice how the door panels have a raised portion, which wasn’t a part of the red-hot Tata Curvv showcased earlier this year. Whether this is a new addition to the design or this is an attempt to hide the footprint of the side panels isn’t known yet.

In one of the shots, the camera closes up on the front facia, which is again covered in the monochrome wrap. Through the teaser, Tata confirms that it has engineered the vehicle for tough terrains. Further, several leaks and rumors state that the car could feature different drivetrains, including multiple petrol and diesel engine options. An electric version of the vehicle is also in the making.
