Soon Prisma Will Let You Create Artful Videos

Pokemon Go and Prisma are the latest fads for which the entire world is going gaga. Among the two, the later was the last one to enter the Android world. At the start of this week, Prisma launched on Google Play Store and now today the developers of the app have announced that soon it will dissect and embellish your video clips as well.

The app, created by Russian developers, gained enormous popularity riding on its creative filters which transform user photos into images that resemble artwork, or some sort of painting. The popularity of the app can be gauged from its 16.5 million downloads on Apple App Store in short time duration since its debut on June 11. So far, Prisma had created more than 550 million images.

Of late, Prisma Lab has been developing a video feature for its app which is expected to be made available to the public in coming weeks. Recently Prisma Lab co-founder Alexey Moiseenkov confirmed that his team has already developed the technology which is required to apply similar filters on videos as well. Now, they are improving their infrastructure to support the expected load once video feature goes live.
