Sony India has launched a new vlogging camera: the Sony ZV-E10 II. It takes after the company’s popular offering, the ZV-E10, focused on content creators. The product’s selling proposition remains the same: providing excellent image quality while retaining the ease of use and the compact form factor. Buyers still get features like Product Showcase Setting and Creative Looks, but the ZV-E10 II ships with upgrades like a new CMOS sensor, enhanced video capabilities, and so on. With the camera, the company has also announced a new lens, the E PZ 15-50mm.
Sony ZV-E10 II Vlog Camera Specifications
The new Sony ZV-E10 II vlogging camera features a new APS-C Exmor R CMOS Sensor with a total resolution of around 27MP. When it comes to still images (JPG, HEIF, RAW), the sensor maxes out at 26MP, while for videos (H.264, H.265), the effective resolution is around 19.9MP. The color temperature range, as mentioned on the official website, is 2500 – 9900K.
The camera features Fast Hybrid AF (phase-detection AF/contrast-detection AF) that provides a 759-point focal plane while clicking pictures and a 495-point focal plane while recording videos. It is worth mentioning that the camera can automatically detect and focus on humans, animals, and birds. Besides focus, the camera ships with 1200-zone evaluative metering and offers an exposure compensation of +/- 5.0 EV.

The ISO sensitivity for still images ranges from ISO 100 – 32000, while for videos, it ranges between ISO 100 – 320000 equivalent. With an electronic shutter, the camera can click still images between 1/8000 to 30 seconds. Recording videos remain capped at 1 second. For those wondering, the maximum flash sync speed is 1/30 seconds. The lens also supports image stabilization in Standard or Electronic mode.
To monitor the scene, users get a 7.5-inch TFT display that supports touch input and is adjustable at an opening angle of 176 degrees and a rotating angle of 270 degrees. Connectivity options on the camera include a USB-3.2 Type-C port, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2, HDMI micro connector, a multi-interface shoe, and a mic/headphone terminal. The battery in the box (NP-FZ100) can last for up to 610 shots through the LCD monitor or up to 130 minutes of video recording via the LCD monitor.

The latest vlogging camera comes with the BIONZ XR image processor, which has up to eight times more processing power than its predecessor. It supports up to 5.6K oversampling, resulting in stunning 4K (QFHD: 3840 x 2160) footage at up to 60fps. Then, you get 10 presets for changing a picture’s mood or tone under the Creative Look feature. The Cinematic Vlog Setting makes it easier to record aesthetic vlog footage.

For recording audio, the camera features a three-capsule microphone that offers excellent pickup and noise reduction performance, making it easier to record clear audio. Users can also select the primary direction for the audio from Front, Rear, or All Directions. The company also provides a windscreen in the box, which helps in even clearer audio capture. Last but not least, you also get support for S-Log3 gamma for an extra wide dynamic range.
Sony E PZ 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 II Lens Features
With the new vlogging camera, Sony has also announced the E PZ 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 II Lens, which offers a 24-75mm full-frame equivalent focal length. While weighing just 107 grams, the lens can retract to 1.25 inches. It has a minimum focus distance of 0.25 (wide) to 0.3 (tele) meters and a maximum magnification ratio of 0.215x.
