Japanese mobile maker Sony’s flagship phone, Xperia XZ2, has been launched in India at an exorbitant price of Rs. 72,990. The phone has a long list of features to show up for the asking price. These include advanced Motion Eye camera technology, high-quality front-facing stereo speakers, IP65/ 68, HDR display with water resistance feature, and Google’s ARCore and Google Lens image search technology.

The pricing still feels like a mistake and kind of explains why Sony has failed to gather as much fanfare as Samsung and OnePlus have in India.

It’s front-facing stereo speakers come with DSEE HX technology for scaling the volume with LDAC technology, producing close to high-resolution audio results. A dedicated shutter button is also present at the bottom right edge of the phone.

Sony Xperia XZ2 is being projected as the world’s first mobile to facilitate a 4K HDR movie recording. It also features the all new ‘Dynamic Vibration System’ that reads audio data and reflects the action in form of vibrations in your hands, thus giving a touch of reality to movies and video games.
