Sony Xperia XA Ultra With 16 MP Selfie Camera Launched In India

Sony introduces its next BIG thing – the Xperia XA Ultra literally – as part of its recently announced X series. The phablet size smartphone is targeting selfie enthusiast with its 16-megapixel front-facing camera. The Sony Xperia XA Ultra goes on sale starting July 27 across the country. It will be available for Rs. 29,990 across all Sony retail centers and other major electronic stores.

The Sony Xperia XA Ultra houses a 6-inch full HD display and flaunts a metal unibody design. At its heart, an octa-core Mediatek MT6755 (Helio P10) chipset is ticking at 2GHz. The chipset is paired with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 200GB via microSD card support.

In the optics section, it bears a 21.5-megapixel primary camera with Exmor RS sensor, auto-focus and dedicated shutter button. On the front, there is a 16-megapixel selfie camera which comes with Exmor R sensor, optical image stabilizer, smart selfie flash and HDR. After HTC 10, it has become first smartphone to feature OIS on the front camera.

The Sony Xperia XA Ultra comes out of the box running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It is aided by a 2,700mAh battery that supports quick charge feature. For connectivity, Sony has added 4G LTE, dual-SIM/single-SIM, Bluetooth 4.1, Google cast, NFC, and micro-USB support.

Sony Xperia XA Ultra is available in white, graphite black and lime gold color variants. As an introductory offer, Sony is offering 3 months free subscription to Sony LIV and Hungama Play with Xperia XA Ultra. Kindle users will get free e-book worth Rs 1,000.
