Sony has been aggressively pushing out new audio products in India. The latest offering from Sony is WH-CH710N wireless active noise-cancelling headphones. Back in April, these new ANC headphones were announced globally for $200 which roughly translate to Rs 15,200. However, the WH-CH710N price in India is set at Rs 9,990 which seems really aggressive pricing.
The successor to WH-CH700N offers better audio performance and improved battery life. The WH-CH710N comes with 30mm dynamic drivers for improved sounds. Just like the Sony WH-1000XM3 (review), the CH710N also comes with support for Google Assistant. The new headphones have over the ear fit which not just claims to offer comfort for ears and better noise isolation for active noise cancellation. It supports SBC and AAC Bluetooth codecs but there is no mention of aptX and aptX HD codecs.
