Sony has taken the veil off the price and availability of PlayStation 5, its accessories, and new games. The PS5 Digital Edition price begins at $399, while the one with disk drive starts at $499. Both the console variants will launch on November 12 in markets such as the US, Japan, Canada, South Korea, Mexico, Australia, and New Zealand. The rest of the markets will get it on November 19. So, a matter of a few days only.
The company also announced the price of accessories —
- a new DualSense Wireless Controller costs $69.99
- the Pulse 3D wireless headset is priced at $99.99
- the PlayStation HD Camera costs $59.99
- the Media Remote comes at $29.99
- the DualSense Charging Station costs $29.99
And here’s how much some of the newly unveiled games would cost:
- Demon’s Souls (Bluepoint Games / Japan Studio) – $69.99
- Destruction All-Stars (Lucid Games / XDEV) – $69.99
- Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales (Insomniac Games) – $49.99
- Marvel’s Spider-Man: Mile Morales Ultimate Edition (Insomniac Games) – $69.99
- Sackboy A Big Adventure (Sumo Digital / XDEV) – $59.99
There’s some good news for current PS4 users. Some of these games like Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Sackboy A Big Adventure, and Horizon Forbidden West will also launch on PS4. If you have a PS4 digital version, then you will be eligible for a free upgrade to both PS5 variants. However, Sony states, “the PS4 disc versions of these games include a free upgrade on the PS5 with Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive” only. That is at the time of upgrade to PS5 with a disc drive, you’ll have to prove your ownership of the PS4 game disc.

We expect PS5 to hit the Indian stores on Nov 19, but at the moment, we don’t have a word on it or the price. Even the landing pages at major retailers (like Amazon, Flipkart, Sony Center, Games The Shop, Croma, and Reliance Digital) haven’t been updated yet.
