Sony has launched two new sets of Bluetooth headphones – WF-XB700 Truly Wireless Headphones and WH-CH710N Wireless Headphones. Both audio devices belong to Sony’s Extra Bass speaker range and are also the first wireless buds to do so.

Sony WF-XB700 Truly Wireless Earbuds Features

The WF-XB700 comes with an ergonomic tri-hold design which makes them compact and lends a secure and comfortable fit. It will be interesting to see if the WF-XB700 wireless buds can matchup to the Sony Extra Bass criteria. The earbuds have a battery life of 6 hours, which can be extended by up to 18 hours with the charging case. Thanks to fast charging, users will be able to squeeze out 60-minutes of music playback with just 10 minutes of charge.

With an IPX4 rating, WF-XB700 headphones are sweat and water resistance. There are no fins, though, and this might be a problem while wearing them during intense workouts. The audio device uses physical buttons for controls and to connect with smartphones for Voice Assistant. Unlike Sony’s previous flagship WF-1000XM3 earbuds, the WF-XB700 lacks active noise cancellation.

The price of Sony WF-XB700 Truly Wireless Earbuds is USD 130 that roughly converts to Rs. 9,900. The earbuds will come in two color variants- Blue and Black. The availability of WF-XB700 headphones in the Indian market is still uncertain.

The second launch by Sony is the WH-CH710N Wireless Noise-Canceling Headphones, an upgraded version of WH-CH700N. Dual microphones have been installed in WH-CH710N to improve noise cancelation, aided by the Automatic Artificial Intelligence Noise Canceling (AINC) function.

The WH-CH710N offers 35 hours battery backup on a single charge. It also features quick charging where one can get 60 minutes of playback from 10 minutes charging. To make it more user friendly, the company has provided an adjustable metal overhead slider. WH-CH710N can connect to your phone’s voice assistant.
