Sony Launches Ludicrously Priced Xperia XZ at Rs. 49,990

Sony has launched its 2016 flagship smartphone Xperia XZ in India. It will be available for pre-booking starting October 1 on Amazon.in and brick and mortar store across the length and breadth of the country. As an introductory offer, Sony Xperia XZ best price will be Rs. 49,990 post that it will retail at Rs. 51,990. The shipping starts on October 10. The Sony Xperia XZ features a 5.2-inch full HD Triluminos display with 424ppi pixel density and Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It has a loop surface metal design. At the heart of the phone, it features a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 chipset coupled with 3GB of RAM. It comes with 64GB of internal storage and microSD card support.

Sony has been proudly boasting about Xperia XZ camera capabilities. It packs a 23-megpaixel primary camera with hybrid autofocus, 24mm wide-angle G lens, 5-axis stabilization. On the front, it bears a 13-megapixel selfie camera with a f/2.0 aperture. It is backed by a 2900mAh battery with quick charge support. Just like its predecessor Xperia Z, it too comes with the fingerprint embedded in the power button.

The list of connectivity option includes dual-SIM card slots, 4G with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC and USB Type-C port. It is also IP65/68 certified which makes it dust and water proof. The smartphone comes out-of-the-box running on Android Marshmallow.

Early buyers will be able to enjoy Sony LIV subscription worth Rs 349 for free, and Modern Combat 5 credits worth Rs 780. On pre-booking Sony is offering SmartBand Talk – SWR30 for free.
