A week after Bravia X90J‘s launch, Sony has brought the more premium Bravia XR A80J OLED TV to India. This is a 4K TV with a 120Hz refresh rate as well as Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos support. Other highlights include HDMI 2.1 ports and Google TV operating system. There’s also a bunch of proprietary enhancements on board.

Sony BRAVIA XR A80J
Sony has currently released the 65-inch model of the A80J. It as aforementioned, an OLED panel sporting 4K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and support for Dolby Vision HDR content. The TV is running on Sony’s Cognitive Processor XR, which intuitively finds the focal point in the picture and optimizes the on-screen to appear realistic as possible. To top it all, there’s XR TRILUMINOS Pro for wide bright, and deep colors, and XR Motion Clarity technology for reduced motion blur in sports and high-octane visuals.

A80J is also packing smarts like automatic video brightness and audio loudness control depending on the ambiance in which the TV’s been set up.
For gamers, there are HDMI 2.1 ports and associated benefits like 4K 120fps gameplay, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), an e-ARC. And generally, you can enable the game mode to enjoy reduced input lags as low as 8.5ms with 4K/120fps content.
Sony has equipped the TV with Google TV, which is an update over the older Android TV UI. This bestows an overhauled library, navigation, and smarter content curation. This still offers goodies like Hands-Free Google Assistant control and Play Store galore of apps. You also get support for Alexa, Apple AirPlay 2 and HomeKit.

Price and Availability
Sony has released the XR-65A80J model at ₹299,990/- and is available across all Sony Centers, leading electronic stores, and e-commerce sites in India. Other sizes of A80J viz., 77″ and 55″ will be announced soon.
