Earlier this year, in the month of April, Qualcomm launched the Snapdragon 665 alongside Snapdragon 730. Ever since then, we have seen a bunch of phones shipping with this chip. The SD665 is an incremental update to Snapdragon 660 SoC and the performance differences are nominal.

The Snapdragon 665 is manufactured on the 11nm LPP FinFET process and employs 4 Kryo 260 (A73) performance cores and 4 Kryo 260 (A53) power-efficient cores, each with a clock speed of 2.0GHz and 1.8GHz, respectively. The new Adreno 610 brings Vulkan 1.1 support and is more power-efficient. The SoC also touts a 2X faster AI processing and adds support for modern imaging hardware.

Realme 5 (review) brings a good amount of everything on to the table. But the newest addition bests it with a better quartet of optics.

Realme 5s (review) boasts a 48MP ( Samsung ISOCELL) led quad-camera setup at the back and a 16MP selfie shooter on the front. The other occupants are an 8-megapixel ultrawide snapper, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

2. Nokia 5.3

HMD Global recently announced Nokia 5.3 also finds a place in this listicle. It’s a mid-tier phone that promises stockish Android experince right out of the box. Like all other phones in this list, the Nokia 5.3 is also driven by Snapdragon 665 chipset.

It comes with a 6.55-inch IPS screen which offers HD+ resolution. Optics-wise, HMD Global has packed it with a quad-rear camera setup housing a 13MP primery lens, a 2MP depth sensor, a 5MP ultra-wide angle and a 2MP macro lens. For selfies there is a 8MP module on the front. It comes with a 4000mAh battery to power the device.

Vivo U10 (review) is the latest one to ship with Snapdragon 665 SoC. It comes with 3/4GB of RAM and 32/64GB of storage. You get to go overboard up to 256GB using a microSD card. Like the Oppo phone above, it also carries a 5000mAh battery. You can charge it with an 18W fast charger.

The phone is known by Mi CC9e in China and as Mi A3 (review) in India. Besides, the diversity in names, the product is the same. Unlike the above Xiaomi phone, this one runs on stock-ish Android One (v.9.0) software on top of the SD665 chipset. Although it parades an sAMOLED panel, the overall display quality is marred by a lacklustre resolution and pixel density.

Compared to Note 8, this one ditches the depth sensor from the rear camera panel. On the other track, the front snapper is a 32MP sensor.
